L-733 and L-743 Triple Scan® Laser Systems
The Hamar L-733 and L-743 Triple Scan® Laser Alignment Systems feature one horizontal and two vertical auto-rotating laser planes at precise 90 degrees angles, to satisfy the growing demands in modern geometric alignment. Whether it's a basic bed leveling task or multi-axis machine tool alignment or large gantry alignment, the Triple Scan® lasers can do it all.
L-743 Ultra Precision Triple Scan® delivers the flattest scanning laser planes on the market, at .000015 in/ft (0.0013 mm/m) and a target measurement resolution down to .00001" (0.00025mm). It is 10x more accurate than traditional mechanical alignment tools and 70% faster than using optics or levels. The Triple Scan® lasers can be used to establish simultaneous multi-axis alignment or straightness, level, flatness, squareness, parallelism, angular alignment (pitch, yaw, roll), and more. They are a popular choice for machine tools and beds, injection molds, cutting machines, surface plates, guideways, columns, gantries, roll forming machines, rails, sawmills, 3D printers, and much more. No other laser alignment product can compete and when compared to a CMM, the laser has the advantage of a large reference measurement span (out to 100 ft (30 m) radially), avoiding the inaccuracies associated with leapfrogging. They are also lower in cost and easier to use than laser trackers and require little to no training. |
L-732 and L-742 Dual Scan® Laser Systems |
The #1 choice for modern roll alignment, the L-732 and L-742 Dual Scan® Laser Alignment Systems feature two vertical auto-rotating laser planes at precise 90 degrees angles for alignment reference. With system resolution to .00002" (0.005mm), roll parallel alignment as good as .000045 in/ft (0.0038mm/m) can be achieved. The system mobility combined with the ability to reach vertically offset rolls as high as 100 ft without needing to add separate pentaprism optics, makes it the best laser alignment system for roll alignment on the market today.
Many alignment professionals prefer to reference an offset centerline via floor monuments when conducting roll alignments and our system allows this approach. Two floor targets become the offset center reference and can be mounted directly to existing floor monuments if needed. By moving the laser from roll to roll, the system is capable of aligning an infinite length of machine to high precision! Read more in our blog “Modern Roll Alignment Techniques – Which is best?” These systems are also capable of simultaneous 2-axis alignment, flatness, leveling, straightness and squareness measurement, parallelism, angular measurement, and are popular choices for injection molds and roll forming machines. |
L-730 and L-740 / L-741 Single Axis Laser Systems
An economical solution for many applications, the L-730 and L-740 Auto-Scanning Leveling Laser Alignment Systems feature one horizontal rotating laser plane that can be used for leveling, flatness, 1-axis straightness measurement, vertical parallelism, twist, and pitch/roll on surface plates, platens, machine tools, and other surfaces. Alternatively, they can be factory-set as 1 vertical plane for measuring flange flatness or walls. The 741 Laser also contains a vertical/plumb laser beam for vertical alignment and squareness relative to horizontal.
The L-740 is the flattest scanning laser plane on the market, at 0.25 arsec or .000015 in/ft (0.0013 mm/m) over a 90 degree area. Combined with a target measurement resolution down to .00001” (0.00025 mm) and back-lit leveling vial to 1 arcsec (.00006 in/ ft or 0.005 mm/M), the system provides an extremely accurate flatness and/or leveling measurement at relatively low cost. It is 10x more accurate than traditional mechanical alignment tools and 70% faster than optics or levels! |
Custom Laser SolutionsHamar Laser Instrument’s ability to customize makes them a cutting edge leader of precision laser alignment systems. Many of their now standard systems and components were designed and continuously improved after working closely with customers for over 50 years to deliver the most accurate and user-friendly systems. The result is clear – the best turnkey laser alignment solutions for today’s most in demand alignment work. If you have a special measurement or alignment project, please contact us with your requirements and we will do our best to offer a customized measurement kit or component to solve your problem.
Why laser alignment? Not only is laser alignment faster and easier than traditional mechanical methods, but it is also allows for an objective and repeatable alignment over the entire length of the equipment, whereas optics and piano wire can be subjective or have errors due to sag or incorrect setup. When compared to a laser tracker, a laser alignment system costs much less, is faster to setup and use, and requires less skill and training.
