L-705 2-Axis Laser Bore Alignment System
The ideal choice for extruder barrel alignment, the Hamar L-705 2-Axis Laser Bore Alignment System delivers accurate 2-axis alignment (horizontal and vertical position) down to .0002" (0.005 mm) and can significantly extend barrel and screw life, meaning a fast ROI and a lifetime of production savings.
Featuring the patented self-centering A-510 2-Axis Target and adapter, setup is 3x faster than using optical borescopes and bore diameters from 2.25" to 16" (57 to 406 mm) are accommodated using adapter legs included with the kit. The self-centering design ensures the target is always centered in the bore, regardless of bore tolerances or wear! Other laser systems simply can't compete. The L-705 laser features aim adjustment micrometers so you can be sure the laser is dialed into the gearbox axis of rotation every time, establishing the best extruder barrel alignment possible! Software guides the user through setup and measurement with wireless data transmission to PC. L-706 2-Axis Laser Bore Alignment System |
Designed for versatility, the Hamar L-706 2-Axis Laser Bore Alignment System is used for many applications: engine blocks, compressors, shaft bearing alignment, bearing bar, bucket loaders, gun barrel straightness, bore straightness measurement and concentricity, wear measurement, hydraulic cylinders and more.
With flexible L-706 laser mounting and the self-centering A-512 Target, alignment is 3x faster than optical methods and with 2-axis alignment accuracy to .0002” (.005 mm). A wide range of bores from .75” to 40” (19 to 1000 mm) is easily accommodated with adjustable target mounts or custom mounts for small bores. The L-706 laser features angular adjustment for aiming through reference bore axes and software guides the user through the setup and measurement procedure. Bore angle (pitch and yaw) can be measured by taking 2-axis target measurements at two points along a bore, typically at the very front and rear. By pulling the target through bores, the system is capable of recording a detailed pipe ID straightness measurement and tube ID straightness measurement. |
L-708 2-Axis Laser Stern Tube Alignment System
The Hamar L-708 Laser Bore Alignment System is the ideal choice for stern tube alignment and propeller shaft alignment. The laser can be positioned to shoot forward or aft towards the engine crankshaft. Various configurations are available including a long range laser (for alignment out to 200’) and a precision beam translator for alignment accuracy as good as .0002” (0.005 mm). It is is 3x faster than optical or tight wire methods and provides an objective and repeatable measurement that is easy to interpret. The laser system can readily accommodate a range of bores from 3.75” to 40” (95 to 1000 mm) and can be used for other applications, including turbines, engine blocks, tubes, pipes, and more.
Improper stern tube alignment and bearing alignment increases undesirable shafting stresses and results in costly failures requiring more maintenance and repairs. A laser alignment system is arguably the best system for avoiding these problems by ensuring proper alignment of critical components. The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) wrote“...the laser method provides readings and results much faster than the piano wire or optical instrument methods”. Hamar offers onsite training, so you can confidently conduct your own laser alignment rather than hiring expensive outside contractors. |
Custom Laser SolutionsHamar Laser Instrument’s ability to customize makes them a cutting edge leader of precision laser alignment systems. Many of their now standard systems and components were designed and continuously improved after working closely with customers for over 50 years to deliver the most accurate and user-friendly systems. The result is clear – the best turnkey laser alignment solutions for today’s most in demand alignment work. If you have a special measurement or alignment project, please contact us with your requirements and we will do our best to offer a customized measurement kit or component to solve your problem.
Why laser alignment? Not only is laser alignment faster and easier than traditional mechanical methods, but it is also allows for an objective and repeatable alignment over the entire length of the equipment, whereas optics and piano wire can be subjective or have errors due to sag or incorrect setup. When compared to a laser tracker, a laser alignment system costs much less, is faster to setup and use, and requires less skill and training.
